Client Organization- Starting Up My VA Business

I've been working pretty hard getting a routine down and getting my Virtual Assistant Business up and running.  So I thought I would share some tips/tricks with my readers.

But to be honest getting started is hard and I feel like I'm going in a 100 Different Directions.
When this happens I get frustrated then the stress kicks in and BAM I'm frazzled.  I need to MASTER the stress and not let it rule my life.  Easier said than done but it needs to happen.  I need to find a BALANCE not a BALANCING ACT.

First thing first~ ORGANIZATION!

Right!  I'm not the kind of person who can ride on the seat of her pants and just do it.  I need a plan and purpose.  Now my mom is PLANNER- I look at her and all her to do lists but she gets sh*t done so it must work.
  • Write that To Do List every morning or at night.  Either way works.  I have a list for each client and myself.  I Prioritize my lists,  I put numbers (1-3) by each task example~ 1- Very Important 2- Soon 3- Coming Up.
  • Notebook for each client (including myself)- I write down all info I need for the client here (passwords, logins, and other account info) then I write down a schedule- my day to day tasks.  If I have meeting with them I write down the notes in notebook.  I make sure I go through this notebook every week to make sure I'm on task and don't forgetting anything.  Everything is one place.
  • My Inbox-  I read my emails every morning and organize it.  I found this was a big problem for me so I deleted about 5000 emails a couple months so I can move forward because having that many emails were stressing me out big time.  I STAR certain emails I want to go back to during the day.  I also set up TASKS I need to do for some emails that require action.  For my clients I have a FOLDER that every correspondence goes in there so it's all in one place (like the notebook)  You don't want to be looking for an email a client sent you 2 months ago- it is in the client folder.  I don't like it going directly to folder (you can do that) but in my inbox so I can put down in my notebook plus take action- don't leave in INBOX.  At the end of the day your inbox should be clean and ready to start back up in the morning.
  • Calendar- A MUST!!!  I use Google Gmail so this is very easy for me!  I color coordinate every client and other tasks. But I also use a paper calendar for my blog posts/scheduling.
Okay so that's enough for now.  If you have great ideas/tips to keep your clients organized please leave a comment- I'm always wanting new ways that might make this process easier : )

I Love Getting My Sverve On: For Bloggers

What is SVERVE- it's where Bloggers and Brands Connect. Unleashes your Social Verve!

At first I was a bit confused but the more I looked at it and got involved I'm loving Sverve.  This platform reminds me of Pinterest but for Bloggers.  You can add blog posts and then others can SHARE and LIKE your tip.

Also this is wonderful place that bloggers and brands can connect with each other.  Brands add CAMPAIGNS and Bloggers apply for the campaigns.  I have done some awesome campaigns that have paid $25-50, received a Workshop Conference for free plus been able to sign up for Affiliate opportunities that have been paying well.

What I like is the NETWORKING with other bloggers.  You can endorse others and vise versa- I love to see when someone endorses me.  Also helps you get more points and the more points you get the better chance the brands will connect with you.

What are you waiting for...Sign Up NOW!

Overcoming My Blogging Comfort Zone

I've been stepping out of my comfort zone this past month by reaching out to other bloggers and networking.  My numbers have grown through out all my social media sites.  So it's true you still have to communicate even if its online.  NETWORKING works!

It's hard to be vulnerable and put yourself out there.  I've been applying for blog job offers.  I'm not thinking I don't have enough experience and then not apply.  I'm going for it!   At this point I'm not upset if I don't get any of the positions I'm just happy I put myself out there and applied.

Connecting with others is important to grow any business even a blog.  Reach out by commenting on other blogs, retweeting, liking posts on Facebook, sharing pins on Pinterest and overall just getting involved.  You can't expect your blog to grow if all you do is post.

I joined Facebook groups that are in my niches (moms, reviews, and giveaways) and it has been a blessing.  I've met some awesome bloggers that I'm learning from every day.

Watch out Blogging World~ here comes PinkMama!  2013 is going to be my year I come out of this Blogging shell!

My Son is a Lover NOT a Fighter

That is what he told me yesterday!  Ummm he is 11!  No loving going on dude!

He went to the middle school he will be attending next year to shadow a student there.  There was a incident in 1st period that he felt got way out of hand for no reason but his friend felt he needed to protect him.  I guess some girl flicked Ronnell's shirt because she thought he was talking about her but he wasn't- they were discussing their friend that has same name (sam).  His friend got so upset and starting arguing with other students and then the teacher.  My son appreciated what his friend did but also felt it wasn't necessary.  Created a big mess.

He came home and did tell me about the incident.  He wasn't too concern about it but told me he is a LOVER not a FIGHTER.  Of course I laughed but I knew he meant this was not going be something he gets involved with when he goes to school.  He feels when you give people who are picking on you attention then they win.  If you ignore then they leave you alone because it shows you don't care.  He wishes more kids would be more inclined to not let the the little things bother them and let go of their pride.  He is one smart kid!

I'm hoping we made the right decision but we live in a very urban city and the schools here are rough no matter where you go!  Oh Middle school here we come!

How can you not like this face?
