For the past month I've had 3 blood transfusions, been bleeding non-stop for 4 weeks now, and the pain OH MY! My family is in consent concern on how I'm feeling and making sure I'm doing OK. Some days are better than others.
The past couple years my periods have gotten worse and longer. The first couple days I would need to stay in bed due to all the pain/cramps. And the bitchiness OH MY way off the charts. My family knew when to STAY AWAY. The pain took over my life. So basically I would loose a whole week worth of my life a month due to my bad periods.
Fibroids are the cause of this! In my 20's fibroids caused many miscarriages, in my 30's they behaved but in my 40's they came back with a vengeance and haven't let up yet. The Dr told me last week, "Your fibroids have taken over your uterus and it's now time for them to leave.".
Everyone who I know who has had a hysterectomy says its the BEST THING EVER and you will feel so good afterward. I'm just hoping they are not lying to me...LOL! Just kidding I'm sure this is what needs to happen and I'm looking forward to not having to deal with this crap every month. My hubby is looking forward to it too!

Pam I had a partial and my life opened up. no more heavy periods,no more sleeping all the time. I swear I am glad I did it. You are in my prayers.
I just had a friend in her early 40's go through the same thing. She is so happy she had it done. She has felt better than she has in years. I wish you a speedy recovery.
